We were asked to write a blog about how we were called to this mission trip. Here is my story... for years I have wanted to go on mission trips, but my heart was set on Africa. My parents and I took a missions class at our church, Rancho Community in California, they talked about Swaziland which is in Africa. They also talked about Columbia. My Mom really wanted to go to Columbia to the Orphanage but I kept telling her "No Africa." I was on Facebook talking to a friend who is doing The World Race through Adventures In Missions. She was telling me about the places she goes to and the things they do. I was like wow that sounds awesome, I would love to do that. She gave me the website so I looked it up and found that I could go to Uganda. I messaged her back and told her about going to Ugand and asked if that place was dangerous, she told me that God says he will never leave us nor forsake us. That verse was a really good verse for me to hear. I've been going through a hard time with moving, feeling alone, and just knowing that God is in control. Even if we feel like we have no one we really do it says it right in the Bible. Be praying for me in this mission trip to Uganda, I'm excited and know that I will never be the same whenever I get back.
